The SLA Calculator converts uptime percentage targets into concrete downtime budgets, expressed as hours and minutes per year, month, week, and day. Useful for SLO planning, vendor contract reviews, and communicating reliability commitments to non-technical stakeholders.

How to use

Tips

99.9% ("three nines") allows about 8.7 hours of downtime per year, which is more than most teams expect.
For multi-dependency systems, multiply error budgets: two 99.9% services compose to roughly 99.8%.
Custom input accepts values between 90% and 99.999%.
